A global investment management firm operating across the U.S. and Europe had allowed its support model to drift into full decentralization — no unified intake, no consistent tracking, and leadership confidence that had quietly eroded. Phase two introduced strategic outsourcing to absorb volume while internal workflows matured, with defined entry and exit criteria. Phase three intentionally insourced the function, aligning delivery to firm culture and eliminating the stewardship gap that outsourcing without ownership creates. Root causes were fixed, not symptoms.

The result was a unified, insourced support organization handling approximately 50,000 requests annually with predictable, escalation-light service delivery. Leadership time was returned from reactive intervention to strategic priorities.
